So i got my new camera today. New and new... the type is three years old but it's factory new. The Nikon D90, still going strong. Man it is good. Just the weight and feel of it means quality, and the lens... 18-105 mm, it is such a great lens! Took around 100 pictures in a few hours with it. Great zoom, rubberized grip, it feels just incredibly nice, for that price at least. Very easy menu system, i think i learned most of the settings in about this day. Still need a lot of practice with it though since it is my first D-SLR.
I will keep uploading pictures taken with it to both this blog and to my flickr page. I don't think i'm getting that much sleep with this camera for the next few days. Only when it runs out of battery i think.

How i started.
I have always liked photography. I got my first camera in 2000 or 2001, i can only remember that i used it on a trip to the Greece island, Crete in -01. I took some really nice photos there, yet, we can't seem to find them, not even the film. It is really sad.
But my first digital camera was an old fujifilm (i think) p.o.s, i got it in -03 or -04, before we went to Thailand for the first time. I took some really nice pictures there, one in particular was an old ruin, we went past it in a tour bus and i managed to pick up my camera just in time and take one shot, it was almost perfect, and i couldn't even see it on the screen when i took the picture. Just pure instinct.
My second two cameras was another p.o.s, a Samsung compact. Had it for around half a year, then i dropped it from around 30 cm right onto the floor, and since then the camera has been fucked up. Sometimes the camera shuts down, even though it got new batteries in it, and sometimes it wont turn on. Luckily i got a new one, a Nikon Coolpix S3000. But i didn't really need one because i bought a smartphone (HTC Desire) shortly after. Ended up selling it to my sister.
I am soon getting my new camera, a DSLR, known as the Nikon D90. Damn, i'm longing for it. Been wanting my own DSLR for about 2 years now. My mom has one, an old Canon EOS 300D. It just doesn't cut it for me. I need to have my own things. And i Hate borrowing things, i'd rather just buy my own things. Mostly because if it's my own i don't need to remember to return it to someone, and i don't have to be so careful. And i am also quite sentimental about my stuff.
